Dear Santa

I am not asking all that much,

But can I get a few shots to touch,

And can I not leave bowls too short,

So skip will give selectors a good report.

Also Santa, can I please play in a friendly rink,

Among souls who don’t mind a drink.

And finally Santa, it’s not a lot I pray,

But can you give us a sunny Saturday!

Pennant bowls is now on is Christmas break, with players in the Saturday and Tuesday competitions spending their time on home duties. And the selectors are girding their loins for the run to the finals, and still trying to perform miracles.

However activity at the club carries on with the social bowls and ever-popular Friday night meals continuing over the break.

Visitors to town are most welcome to come along and check out what we have on offer.

On Friday night, New Year’s Eve, the meals are back on after a week’s rest. They will be served from 5.30-7.30pm and the bar will be open from 4pm to 9pm.

Also we will be staging several events over the holiday period and bowlers from other clubs are most welcome to join in.
